Julia McNamara

Julia McNamara has over twenty years of experience in strategy and business development. Early in her career, she worked as a management consultant for Price Waterhouse and later held senior management positions at a Fortune 50 and two privately held companies. Her work involved concept development, research, funding, launch, and growth oversight of a number of innovative business ventures that ultimately resulted in revenue streams worth over $800M a year.

During her 20 year career, McNamara lived overseas for 5 years and managed teams in over 70 countries, gaining invaluable insight in to how transnational businesses—and especially the executives working for such firms—can thrive and succeed.

It was in this multi-cultural environment that McNamara first began coaching individual executives and teams. She has helped numerous executives better navigate major challenges in their career—such as an unexpected job loss, identifying and developing the skills needed to get to the next level, or how to capitalize on stress and change.

These diverse experiences have given McNamara a unique perspective on key issues facing today’s business leaders, as well as an extraordinary understanding of the career challenges that middle and executive level professionals face in the era of globalization.

Julia has an MBA in from Columbia’s Graduate School of Business and an Executive Coaching certification. Throughout her entire career, she has done research on Latino markets. She is the author of a book on multicultural content, published by Bulfinch Press in 2004. She has also contributed to several books and major publications and been the keynote speaker at several major events.

Julia uses a variety of analytical and facilitation approaches and is available in person, by phone or Skype.
